Demon Slayer: How Well Do You Remember Season 1
Muichiro Tokito Tragic Past
The answer lies in Muichiro Tokito's tragic past, which he does not remember. Muichiro was born into a lumberjack family with a twin brother named Yuichiro. They lived a happy and peaceful life until their parents died when they were ten years old.
Their mother became very ill and developed bronchitis. She eventually died in her bed. Their father was very worried about his wife’s condition and went to look for medicines and other medical assistance in the village. But on the way, he fell off a cliff and died.
This left the Tokito twins orphaned and alone. They had to survive by themselves in the harsh winter. When spring came, Kagai's wife Amane found them and invited them to join the Demon Slayer Corps, observing their potential in them.
Akaza vs Tokito: Who Would Win in a Fight?
Muichiro was excited and accepted the offer, but his brother was not. He was quite mean in rejecting Amane. In a fit of rage, Yuichiro even blamed his parents’ overworking and benevolent nature for their deaths, pointing out that they should have made all decisions with a cold head.
He also resented Muichiro for being too gentle and naive, saying that he would die soon if he became a Demon Slayer.
“Muichiro and Yuichiro were twins who lived in danger of demons. One day, a demon attacked them and Yuichiro lost an arm trying to save Muichiro. The demon mocked them for their weakness, but Muichiro managed to kill it with a tool from their hut. However, it was too late for Yuichiro, who died from his injuries. Muichiro was also gravely wounded and lost his memories of his past and his brother. Amani Yubayashiki, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, arrived and healed him. then invited Muichiro to join The Demon Slayer Corps, even though he had no skills in swordsmanship or breathing techniques.”
But he did not know how to deal with these emotions. He was too young and traumatized to process them properly. So he did what many people do when faced with unbearable pain: he repressed them. He blocked out his memories of his past and his feelings for his brother. He became numb and detached from reality. He focused only on his training as a Demon Slayer, hoping to find meaning in his life.
Muichiro’s Journey as a Demon Slayer
Muichiro proved to be a prodigy as a Demon Slayer. He mastered the Mist Breathing style quickly and became one of the Hashiras, and was one of the most vital members of the Demon Slayer Corps.
He also developed a unique ability called See-Through World, which allowed him to see the flow of blood and muscles of his enemies and allies. This gave him an edge in combat, as he could predict their movements and strike their vital points with precision.
But despite his achievements, Muichiro remained aloof and apathetic. He did not care about anything or anyone except killing demons. He did not remember his past or his brother. He did not have any friends or mentors among the Demon Slayers.
He was like a machine that followed orders without question or emotion. He did not have any goals or dreams beyond eradicating demons.
This changed when he met Tanjiro Kamado,
