After being teased during The Witcher season 2, the Wild Hunt is after Princess Ciri in the season 3 trailer.

After being mentioned sparsely throughout the fictional show and teased during the second season of Season 2, The Witcher season 3 trailer reveals the first full look at the Wild Hunt - the caravan of spectral riders who chase Ciri on horseback. Wild Hunt originates in Northern European folklore, is first mentioned in Andrzej Sapkowski's second book, Sword of Destiny, and is the focus of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt video game. In the Netflix adaptation, the Wild Hunt goes after Ciri after sensing the true power of Elder Blood, which they want to use to harness those same powers for themselves.
As Geralt protects Ciri from kings, wizards, and monsters on the continent competing to capture her, Yennefer will lead them to the safety of the protected magical academy Aretuza, which was shown in the trailer for season 3 of The Witcher. Instead, they find themselves amidst political corruption, sorcery, sorcery, and treachery. As previously hinted by showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, The Witcher season 3 trailer reveals that it will be split into two parts. Volume 1, which includes episodes 1-5, releases on June 29, followed by Volume 2, which includes episodes 6-8, on July 27.
