Stranger Things Season 4 Teases Mystery Release
A Stranger Things live stream featuring Krell's grandfather's watch and a 24-hour countdown raises some dark news for season four.
The countdown to season 4's A Stranger Things video is teasing a mysterious release. After an extended hiatus largely due to pandemic-related delays, the Netflix supernatural series is set to return to the streaming service on May 27, the same day the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi movie premieres. The first four episodes will begin on that date and will serve as the first part of the season, followed by the release of the remaining five episodes five weeks later on July 1. In addition, the episodes will make up the penultimate season of the show as in the fifth season. It was confirmed to be the last.
The much-anticipated fourth season is set to begin six months after the third season's showdown with Mind Flayer at Starcourt Mall. In Fallout, the characters were thrown in different directions for the first time. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) moves to sunny California with the Byers family, while Hopper (David Harbor) is transported to a snow labor camp in Kamchatka, Russia. The rest of the gang stays at Hawkins, where they begin to investigate the supernatural powers of Krill's mysterious home.
Now, a somewhat mysterious countdown video teases a new look for Season 4, likely a trailer. Posted on the official Stranger Things YouTube channel with the mysterious title "It's Almost Time", the live stream shows the grandfather's clock in Creel's house being transported to a regular city street. Meanwhile, the watch has a 24-hour countdown timer. Check out the video below:
The Grandfather Clock in the middle of the live stream was first revealed in the "Creel House" trailer released last year. After a flashback that showed the Creel family moving in, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Steve (Joe Kerry), Max (Sadi Sink), Robin (Maya Hawke), Nancy (Natalie Dyer), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) move in with the entire Ghostbusters and break-in. An abandoned house in search of clues related to some supernatural mysteries which is expected to be a seasonal long story. Based on that trailer and subsequent annoyances like this, Creel's house is expected to be a prime location, and Grandfather around the clock is a meaningful idea throughout Season 4.
