Joseph Morgan Says Klaus Mikaelson Will Never Appear on Legacies

Welcome back to Nation. For the first two seasons, Legacies gave us a bunch of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals cameos like Freya Mikaelson, Kai Parker, Matt Donovan, and more! We haven't yet seen an appearance from Hope's father Klaus Mikaelson, and we probably will never see him.

Although Klaus was killed at the end of The Originals, he was not far from our minds while watching Legacies. His death severely affected his daughter throughout the series, and Hope and her friends mentioned him a lot. Sadly, It seems that we should be satisfied with just his mention here and there, but we will never see him on the show apparently according to Joseph,

While talking with Morgan about his new Peacock show, Brave New World, TV Guide asked if even though Klaus would return to Mystic Falls. "Never, never. You will never see it." Morgan said. You can hold your breath for as long as you want. You know why? I have the Originals Box on my shelf, which is nice because it's five DVD sets that represent a complete story from this guy's beginning to his end, Klaus Mikaelson- well, starting in The Vampire Diaries Season 2. So I just feel like a ghost or flashback or something like that, for me, this journey, that story is over. This is the whole story, and it just doesn't feel right to me to do that."

Will Klaus Ever comeback to Legacies?

Other Vampire Diaries alums such as Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder who played Stefan and Damon Salvatore have provided similar answers in the past, and while we're confused, we might not see these characters indulge in the next generation, we get their point. The ending that Klaus got in The Originals was so poetic and has a definitive feel to it, and we don't want to mess with it just by seeing him one last time.

Joseph Morgan continued, "I think Julie [Plec] feels the same. It feels like it's going to be weird, like a little bit of force." "It's like I'm just coming back so we can see something else about him, but when we see him, we go," Oh, is that it? And I don't want his legacy to be, 'uh.' I don't know what scene would be exciting and epic enough after his journey. ”

Sometimes we think you just have to know when to let a character go. We'll settle with knowing that Klaus and Stefan are relaxing together in the afterlife.
