Riverdale
Welcome back Nation. Riverdale begins with the town residents dealing with the tragic passing of Jason Blossom and everything seems to have changed, but except for a few things. Archie Andrews is still a popular American teenager, but summer made him realize that he would pursue a career in music and not work with his father. Archie Andrews has lost his mentor, Mrs. Grundy, who shared a forbidden romantic relationship. Betty Cooper is excited to see Archie after her departure from the summer, but she is still not ready to express her feelings towards Archie.
We also have seen the arrival of a new student named Veronica Lodge arriving in Riverdale with her mother Hermione Lodge. It is quite clear that there are a spark and chemistry between Archie and Veronica, but Veronica does not want to risk her new friendship with Betty by moving to Archie. Then there is Cheryl Blossom, the happy Queen Bee who enjoys making trouble between Veronica, Archie, and Betty, but she also hides some of her secrets.
Katy Keene
Katy Keene is a spinoff of Riverdale and is set a few years after the events of the CW Associate series. It follows A group of young adults with wide eyes and bigger dreams as they try to tackle emerging jobs in New York City. At the center is Katy Keene, a hopeful, and her buddies, Josie McCoy, Jorge Lopez, and Pepper Smith. Unlike the doom and gloom that often afflict the small town of Riverdale, Katy Keene plans to be more comfortable with the sparkle and shine that comes with opportunity.
The cast of the Katy Keene show leads the latest CW Archie Comics, which is serving as the network's big midseason entry to their already impressive slate of programming. The dramatic musical comedy was developed by Michael Gracie and Roberto Aguirre Sacasa, the mind behind Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The new show is headlined by veteran network television brand Lucy Hale.
