After years of refusing to answer his son's prayer, God will finally begin his physical appearance on the show played by the original President 24 Dennis Haysbert.

Dennis will again meet with his former 24 co-stars D.B. Woodside, who portrays the elder angelic son of God, Amenadiel, after President David Palmer's brother and chief of staff Wayne Palmer played popular thriller.

During an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, the regular Lucifer series Lesley-Ann Brandt gushed about working with the presidential star for season five.

Lesley-Ann explained: "Dennis Haysbert is a great actor and it's a really great working between these two characters."

The star has portrayed Lucifer's best friend and bounty hunter Maziken since the first season of the show and is expected to play a major role in Season Five.

Lesley-Ann remained tight on any specific details of the plot but briefly touched on the role that Lucifer and Aminadale's father would play in the next installment.

She teased: “I can say that she goes to him and asks him for something huge.”

This comment sparked speculation that Maziken could be the driving force behind the rescue mission in the opening episode of saving Lucifer from his infernal prison.

Lucifer's prayers have thus far remained unanswered, but his current predicament could be severe enough to persuade God to finally leave the Silver City and make a visit.

Moreover, although brothers Lucifer and Amenadiel repaired their tense relationship, last season's events could have put more pressure on their conflicting moral codes.

Netflix has not yet confirmed a release date for season five, but it is hoped that the first eight episodes will air in Netflix in summer 2020.
