Dennis Haysbert Discusses Lucifer & Playing GOD Opposite Tom Ellis

Lucifer - Can you Recognize These Characters


Dennis Haysbert was freshly cast in couple roles including faith themes, one as a narrator of a series on religious network TBN, the different as God for the last season of “Lucifer.”
Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum.

“It’s getting to be very interesting,” Haysbert said while discussing his role on Lucifer. “I think people are getting to see God during a different light because everyone sees God in their religion. once you believe it, what's God’s religion? He’s not Christian, Buddhist or Muslim, He’s God. He’s light and love, He made us beat His image. When He looks down on us immediately what does He feel about it? He’s given us discretion .”

The popular Allstate Insurance spokesperson also is the narrator for TBN’s new show, “The State of religion .”

The six-episode series, now airing on the network, takes viewers on a journey to get the role of Christianity from it’s starting to present day.

It is a show designed for a different audience than Lucifer, one of the foremost popular series on Netflix.

“Think about this or not, I’m not gonna put anything thereon, I’m just saying it had been very interesting to play the character,” Haysbert told the Christian Post. “I hope God likes what I’ve through with it. I feel it’s the primary time that folks will see God portrayed during a three dimensional way.”

Tom Ellis took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes picture from Lucifer, with the possible appearance of Haysbert as God:

The pair seems to be within the l. a. the local department set of the series, judging from the now-familiar location.

Details about Haysbert’s debut in “Lucifer” Season 5 remain covert.

However, the creators revealed that he will feature prominently within the show. He will reportedly play an enormous role in the story.

“When you think that about it, who was Lucifer? He was the sunshine bearer, he was an angel,” said Haysbert. “He was sent right down to punish the damned. tons of individuals have done things within the devil’s name. “The devil made me roll in the hay,” No, you had discretion. you probably did what you probably did then you blame it on the devil. The show deals with these angels. They affect tons of various angels and demons. they need of these different characters in there and it’s put a grounding face thereon .”

Haysbert added that the most important fanbase of Lucifer is evangelicals from around the world.
