Inferno, the original part of Dante's Divine Comedy that inspired the latest dan Brown's bestseller of an equivalent title describes the poet's vision of hell.

The novel begins with the narrator ( Who is that the poet himself ) being lost through a dark wood wherever he's attacked by three creatures that he cannot escape.

but he got rescued by the Poet Virgil who is sent by Beatrice, they started the journey The 9 Circles of hell,


First Circle ( Limbo )

all of them sleep in a castle with a Seven Gates which mean the seven virtues Here Dante Sees Many prominent people from classical antiquity l

Second Circle ( Lust )

Dante's Second Hell Circle, Dante And his Assistant Virgil sees people that were overcome by their own lust, they are getting punished by being blown violently back and forth by strong winds stopping them to seek out peace and rest,

Heavy winds mean the restlessness of a somebody who is led by a desire for fleshly desires, and Dante Sees many well-known characters from history and mythology including Cleopatra, Tristan, Helen of Troy And other who were adulterous during their lifetime

Third Circle ( Gluttony )

When Dante Arriving in the Third Circle of Hell, Dante and Virgil Find souls of gluttons who are overlooked by a worm monster Cerberus, Sinners during this circle of hell are punished by being forced to dwell a vile slush that's produced by never-ending icy rain.

Vile clay means the personal deterioration of one person who overindulges food and other worldly desires, while the need to ensure that lying in the vicinity serves selfishness and cold,

Here, Dante Speaks to a personality Called Ciacco Who also tells him that the Guelphs ( a fraction sup-porting the pope) will defeat and expel the Ghibellines ( a fraction supporting the Emperor to who Dante Adhered From Florence that happened in 1302 

Fourth Circle ( Greed )

they use big weights as a weapon, moving it with their chests which means their selfish drive for fortune during a lifetime,

the two groups that are guarded by a being called pluto are so filled with their activity that the 2 poets don't attempt to speak to them here, Dante Says to ascertain many clergymen including cardinals and popes,



Fifth Circle ( Anger )

The Fifth Circle of Hell is Where The wrathful and sullen are punished for his or her sins. Transported on a ship by Phlegyas, Dante and Virgil See the wrathful fighting one another on the surface of the Styx and therefore the Sullen Gurgling Beneath the surface of the water.


Again, The punishment reflects the sort of the sin committed during a lifetime. while crossing through, the authors are requested by Filippo Argenti, a Famous Florentine Politician Who stole Dante's Property after his Expulsion of Florence.

Sixth Circle ( Heresy )

within the inner Ring are Blasphemers and sodomites residing through a desert of flaming sand and fiery rain falling from the air, 

Eighth Circle ( Fraud )

The Eighth Circle of Hell is resided by the fraudulent, Dante And Virgil reach it on the rear of Geryon, a Flying monster with different natures. a bit like the fraudulent.

The Circle of Hell is split into 10 Bolgias or Stony ditches with bridges between them, in Bolgia 1, Dante sees panderers and seducers.

in Bolgia 2 he finds Flatterers. After Crossing the bridge to Bolgia 3, he and Virgil see those that are guilty of simony. while he crossing another bridge within the ditches to Bolgia 4, they find magicians and false prophets. 

in Bolgia 5 are housed corrupt Politicians. in Bolgia 6 are hypocrites and inside the remaining 4 ditches Dante finds hypocrites (Bolgia 7) criminals (Bolgia 7), Evil lawyers and judges (Bolgia 8), divisive people (Bolgia 9) and Various falsifiers like alchemists. perjurers and counterfeits (Bolgia 10)

Ninth Circle ( Treachery )

The last Ninth Circle of Hell is split into 4 rounds consistent with the seriousness of the sin though all residents are frozen in an icy lake.

those who committed more sin are deeper inside the ice. Each of the 4 rounds is known as after a private who personifies the sin.

thus round 1 is known as Caina after Cain Who Killed his Brother Abel. Round 2 is known as Antenora after Anthenor of troy who was Prima's Counselor during the Trojan War. Round 3 is known as Ptolomaea After Ptolemy ( Son of Abubus) While round 4 is known as Jedecca after Judas. the apostle who betrayed Jesus with a kiss
